Approximate drive time is 1 hour.

Leaving the airport, turn right at the intersection onto Kapule Highway 51, which merges into Kuhio Highway 56 heading north. Travel approximately 28 miles. You will see a green sign indicating Princevile 2.1miles. You then pass the Princeville municipal airport on your left, followed by the Princeville Golf Club on your right. The next right turn will be the entrance to Princeville, marked by a gatehouse and fountain, this is Ka Haku Road, the main road through Princeville. Take your third right turn onto Kamehameha Road, Sealodge is at the end of the road.  Each building is clearly identified with a sign in front.  E10 is on the top floor of building E.

Operating Your Electronic Lock

PLEASE NOTE that your lock may not look precisely like this but will operate in the same manner.  Key in your access code to unlock the door.  If it is correct, you’ll hear the bolt retract, and the blue check mark will light up and beep.  If you enter the code incorrectly, the red x will light up  and beep twice.  Wait a moment for the lock to clear, and then enter the code again.  When you leave, hit the “X” to lock the door behind you.

  • Check-In & Check-Out

We appreciate your respecting our posted arrival time of 3pm (no earlier!) and departure time of 10am (no later!).  Both unauthorized early check-in and unauthorized late check-out may be subject to a fine of $50 per hour.

  • About Your Property

    • The plumbing at Sealodge may be less robust than you are accustomed to at home.  Please do not flush any wipes (even if they say flushable) or feminine hygiene products down the toilet, instead dispose of these in the trash.  Please ONLY flush toilet paper.
    • A PARKING PASS WAS EMAILED TO YOU.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRINT THAT PARKING PASS BEFORE YOU GO. Your parking pass must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle at all times while parked in the complex parking lot. It should be face up on the front left of your dashboard (driver’s side). If your parking pass is lost or damaged, you will need to re-print it. Kapaa Ship, Print and Storage, the UPS store in Lihue, or Tech808 in Princeville will print your parking pass for you for a nominal fee.
    • You will find a swimming pool key inside the unit. Please be sure to return this key to its ORIGINAL LOCATION when you check out.
    • Replacement charge for a lost/unreturned pool key is $75.  Please don’t forget to put it back where you found it on arrival!
    • The washing machine is a high efficiency model and can ONLY be used with HE detergent. If you use regular laundry soap, it will make too much foam and the washing machine will overflow and flood. Please be sure to use only HE laundry detergent. The washer is sensitive to being out of balance in the rinse or spin cycles. If this happens, hit PAUSE, rebalance the load, then hit START. The washer will stop itself if the vibrations are severe. The position of the washer could change, so please reposition it as needed. There are leveling buttons under the front corners if the washer still wobbles across the floor. Itʼs good for you to be home when you use the washer! The dryer works great for general purposes on the “Casuals (medium heat)” cycle.  The “Cotton (regular heat)” cycle is great for sheets and towels.
    • Please don’t hang beach towels , clothing, etc from the lanai railings.  It’s against the complex rules.
    • Please remove sand from towels, clothing, beach chairs, etc., before entering the unit.  There are water faucets at ground level near E1 or E5 you may use for rinsing.
    • No smoking is permitted inside or on the lanai.  A minimum $250 charge will apply for violating this rule.
    • Please remove your shoes before entering, it’s Hawaiian custom and protects our floors.
    • Trash and recycling items should be removed daily to the dumpsters/bins outside, to avoid attracting pests.
    • Please close all windows when you go out, sudden rain squalls can cause damage if left open.
    • Kauai is a lush and verdant tropical environment.  Please be aware that geckos and bugs are a normal and expected part of this environment and occasionally will make their way inside your rental.  Because we have regular pest control service, you may see a dead or dying bug inside.  That means the pest control is working.  Geckos bring good luck and eat insects, we ask if you should find a gecko inside that you capture it in a cup and deposit it outside, please try not to harm it.
  • Instructions for Electronics

      • Make sure the modem box is on.
      • Use Spectrum Cable remote and hit “All” button on top right to turn on the Arris cable box (located on right side of TV stand shelf).
      • If Arris cable box needs to be rebooted, unplug the black power cord from the back of the box, wait a few seconds, then plug it in. It will take at least several minutes for the reboot when the correct time again displays on the box.
      • Use the Hisense remote and hit the top left button to turn on the TV.  To access cable TV, select Input HDMI2 from the Hisense home page.  The Hisense smart TV home page also can access various streaming apps for which you may have logins.  The remote also has buttons for directly accessing Prime Video, Netflix, etc.

      Wireless Internet:

      • Wireless router box “NETGEAR54” is on the left side of the TV stand shelf next to the Philips stereo box. If restarting of router is needed, unplug the power cord in the back of the box, wait a few seconds, plug it back in and allow a few minutes to reboot. Make sure the two antennas on the NETGEAR54 box are raised.
      • Find “NETGEAR54” under network names on your device and select it. Password is “calmcream531”.

      Philips Stereo System:

      • Includes FM tuner with presets, CD player, and Bluetooth for wireless connection to your devices. The system, including speakers, is on the shelves of the TV stand. Please do not move things around.

      • Some CDs of Hawaiian music are in the TV stand cabinet.

      Cordless Telephone:

      • Located in the rear left on the top level of TV stand. Number is 808-431-4054.
      • Is available for calls within Hawaii (808) and toll-free calls. You can use a personal calling card for long distance or international calls.
      • Local police number is 808-826-6214 (emergencies use 911).
      • If no dial tone, make sure TG1672 modem box is operating or reboot it as necessary.

Controls for ceiling fan and associated lights:

      • Controller is on the wall directly across from the kitchen sink. Move switch at the bottom to “on” if necessary.
      • For lights, push top button to turn on. Hold down second button to ramp brightness up or down.
      • For fan, use circular dial and press one of the three speeds ‘(slow), ‘’(medium), ‘’’(fast). Slow is great to keep air circulating when windows are closed. No need to use short pull chains hanging from fan unless someone has turned off the fan or light by pulling on the chains!

General Information

  • Weather

In case of severe weather (or if you’re just curious), please visit our weather page for more information and storm preparedness tips.

  • Far North Shore

Looking to visit the far north shore past Hanalei?  Ke’e Beach, the Kalalau Trail, and Tunnels Beach are just some of the major attractions you’ll find at the end of the road.  Unfortunately, following the 2018 flooding, access is no longer as simple as it once was.  Please visit our page on visiting the north shore for more information and useful links.

  • Concierge Services

Looking to arrange flower delivery, babysitting, or a boat tour?  Visit our concierge page to see all services offered and get in touch with our partners at Kauai Vacation Activities today!

  • We want you to have a pleasant and relaxing visit. While you are our guest, we ask that you observe the following items in order to make your stay more enjoyable. Please remember that your rental property is privately owned, it is someone’s second home, so please treat it with the same respect you would show as an invited guest.

    • Please leave the refrigerator and freezer controls on medium setting. When set colder, the machine freezes up and will shut down, possibly causing damage, and certainly causing inconvenience as it will need to be unplugged and left turned off for 24 hours.
    • The tropical climate can invite unwanted insects. Our units are sprayed by a professional pest control regularly, but you can help by being careful not to leave food on the counters overnight. Wash/rinse dishes and run the disposal often and empty the garbage each evening, if possible. Little ants have their origin in the soil around the building. If you see ants, let us know so that we can alert the resident manager.
    • Sunscreen lotions that contain PABA can permanently stain upholstery and bedspreads, as well as harm our reefs. We recommend you use only reef-safe sunscreen (available widely on island) and ask that you do not apply these lotions while inside the condo and rinse them off upon returning and before sitting on the furniture or bedspreads.
    • Please be considerate of your neighbors. Kauai is a tranquil, quiet spot, sought out by our guests as a place for a well-needed rest from their busy and demanding jobs. After 10:00 pm, no unnecessary noise that would interfere with the comfort or convenience of others, please. If you are traveling with children, you are responsible for their behavior and actions. The stairways and walkways are not suitable play areas.
    • In the course of cleaning, the elements on the stove may become disconnected. You will notice this when a burner fails to heat. Please try gently pushing the element into the receptacle to see if that fixes the problem.
    • Kauai’s plumbing is not like the plumbing on the mainland.  Condominium garbage disposals are not intended for shrimp tails, coconut shells, banana peels pineapple, citrus rinds, celery, etc.  These will damage and/or clog the disposal.  Please dispose of all food waste in the trash and use the disposal only for clearing the drain of small food scraps rinsed from already-scraped plates.
    • Basic housekeeping service consists of the unit being ready for your arrival and cleaned when you leave. Interim maid service can be arranged, at additional cost. Supplies that you find within the unit are meant as a “starter set” for you. This will include a roll of toilet paper plus a spare for each bathroom, a bar soap for each bathroom, a roll of paper towels and a clean sponge for the kitchen, a small bottle of dish soap, and several spare kitchen trash bags. If you need to replenish toilet tissue, soap, etc., then it is up to you to purchase these items at the grocery store. Look under the vanity for additional toilet paper.
    • When preparing to leave, we would appreciate it if you would check to see that the lights and appliances are turned off and that doors and windows are closed. Please remove all garbage when you go, and leave dishes clean, to help us keep pests like ants from finding their way in. If you are staying in a lockbox unit, please make sure you
    • If you damage something in the condo, or notice something damaged upon arrival, please let us know!
    • Unreported lost and/or damaged items are subject to replacement charges.  This includes beach towels, please don’t forget to take them out of your rental car!
